Yahoo reports that David Letterman is a father.

Letterman's girlfriend, Regina Lasko, delivered a baby boy late Monday night. He weighed in at 9 pounds, 11 inches and is 21 inches long, Letterman announced on his show Tuesday night.

"9 pounds 11 inches", is that some new fangled weight that I have yet to come across? See, this is why the metric system is so much better.
