Your sitting on the bus, it's almost exactly half way between breakfast and lunch, your stomach is rumbling. Now that's a Snickers moment. There is only one thing more distressing than not having one with you and that is having one and not being allowed to eat it. How distressing is it? $50,000 worth of distressing according to Jamila Glauber who is suing the transit system in Juneau, Alaska for said amount. Apparently it is a long standing and well known rule that you can't eat on the buses in Juneau however when the bus driver enforced the regulation the distress was just too much for poor Jamila. The $50,000 will help cover the cost of counselling and recovery from this traumatic event.
Seems fair enough to me too. Doesn't the US constitution say something about the "pursuit of happiness", or was it the declaration of independance, who knows? Anyway a snickers bar, mid morning, on a bus, now that's persuit of happiness.
